Company History
April, 1947Company is established by Isao Sainohira in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo.
July, 1950Company starts manufacture and sales in earnest as an incorporated organization (Sanshu Seika Co. Ltd.)
1961Company emphasis on high quality products for specialty stores rather than mass products.
March, 1966The factory, warehouse, and related equipment are unified into one place of business in Kawaguchi, Saitama.
July, 1970The modern-equipped confectionary factory is established in Kasukabe, Saitama.
March, 1972The "Takesato store" is opened in front of Takesato station.
March, 1975The Department of Western Confectionery is established.
November, 1981Kitazono store is opened as a franchise store.
The company begins expansion through franchise stores.
June, 1983Company moves Takesato store and changes it's name to "Main store" as a specialty store of rice crackers and Japanese confectionary. "Hot from oven and pan" sales demonstration performed in Main store.
May, 1984Company establishes it's new factory in Toyono Industrial Estate, Kasukabe.
August, 1988To increase production capacity, the new factory warehouse is extended.
(Two story, total floor space 1140 square meters.)
September, 1990The new factory warehouse is extended.
(Three story, total floor space 1707 square meters.)
July, 1995Franchise Division is separated and made independant.
March, 1996Company starts a project, "Beishou Hyakuchin". This project aims to produce one hundred new types of rice crackers and to create a real culture of rice crackers.
November, 1997The refurbished Takesato store is opened.
July, 2002Demonstration sales of hand-made rice crackers are performed at Japanese shopping centres in California and along the east coast of U.S.A..
May, 2005The Promotional Division of The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry "IT Keiei Ouentai" awards the Company first prize in IT Management Top 100 in 2004.
October, 2006The Promotional Division of The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry "IT Keiei Ouentai" awards the Company first prize in IT Management Top 100 in 2006.
April, 2008Winner of the 4th Saitama Challenge Enterprise Manager Award.
April, 2009"Edo Sweets Tokyo Fumiu" store is opened at Tokyo station.
June, 2010"Kasho Imonokura" store is opened in Kawagoe.
November, 2010Winner of the encouragement prize in the 4th Saitama ATTAKA KOSODATE (child nurturing and positive development) Enterprize Award.
March, 2011Demonstration sales of handmade rice crackers are performed in Taipei, Taiwan and Shanghai, China.
September, 2011Winner of the 20th SHOKUHIN ANZEN ANSIN KANKYOU KOUKEN (food security/safety and environmental contribution) Award.
February, 2012Winner of the Excellent Enterprise in Saitama Best Place to Work Award in 2012.
January, 2013Winner of Venture Spirit Department Special Award of the 2nd Shibusawa Eiichi Business Awards.
March, 2013We have been elected one of the FY2013 Diversity Management Selection 100 companies of METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry).
September, 2013We have been certified as Parenting Support Company of MHLW (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare).
September, 2013New factory (Land area:5290㎡) was constructed at Choushiguchi,Kasukabe, Saitama for producing Japanese traditional rice crackers and western confectionery.
October, 2013Winner of Director Award of Gender Equality of Saitama Labor Bureau of MHLW (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare).
